Major Russian Assaults Disrupt Power Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
Ukraine's power facilities have come under increased attacks in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have resulted in electricity outages in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were injured while residents in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and dealt with problems to drinking water, according to local authorities.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was killed in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, according to regional authorities.

Moscow has increased strikes on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while the country's government has called for "concrete actions" from allies to increase pressure on Russia.

He said that 450 drones and more than 30 rockets attacked the country's power systems, labeling such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "essential services" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were working to restore power.

A wave of strikes hit energy infrastructure and apartment buildings in the capital.

Several of the people wounded in the attacks on the capital have been hospitalized, per statements from local officials.
